Anonymous Complaints

I have been receiving a small flow of anonymous complaints (both via email, and in comments people are attempting to post to the blog) about tuition.

I have also received a number of non-anonymous posts/comments with those complaints.

I have posted the non-anonymous ones on this site, and have screened out the anonymous ones.

I am the owner of this blog, and reserve the right to use it in ways that I feel will be helpful to the law school community as you try to get back on your feet. I don't think that anonymous complaints are helpful, so I won't post them.

If somebody would like to create their own blog for anonymous complaints about how the school is responding to the Katrina disaster, that is their right.

I am(was) a 3L evening student at Loyola. I live in Mandeville & my house was not damaged - am currently in Greenwood, MS waiting for utilities to be restored at my home(in process). I am also the primary caretaker for my mother who has a terminal illness and on hospice. Going to Houston for the fall semester is NOT an option for me. Because of my responsibilites at home, I am happy to sit out this semester. This is my first visit to this site so maybe I've missed lots of information given out, but am I OK sitting out this semester? Is Loyola hoping to reopen for spring semester? What about the $1000 worth of books I purchased for this semester - from the Loyola Bookstore ? I plan to take the courses at some point in the future, but profs don't always use the same books or want to use newer editions. I would really appreciate any guidance you may offer.
