Smile!

I
am taking a prescription medication one of whose side effects is "inappropriate happiness!" Really!

Later I'm going to blog about this really funny multi-vehicle auto accident I just saw!

Hopefully the "inappropriate happiness" will mask the mood swings, bulging eyes (think Marty Feldman?), and increased hair growth.

massive poison ivy attack?

ELM: Bingo!

I hope it's a short-lived need. The side effects I had weren't awful, but they were unpleasant (sense of disconnection, massive increase in appetite, alteration of the taste of food).

Thanks, Jenny, I was starting to worry. I have to admit, though, taking something for poison ivy whose side effects include rash, hives, and itching seems a little counter-intuitive.

I'm sure it will be fine though, Eric. Just be sure to call your doctor the moment you lose contact with reality.

ELM: Sorry, Beth, having a hard time hearing you from up here on the moon. Gosh, it's pretty here!

Any happiness one can find in the throes of a massive poison ivy attack isn't inappropriate--it's a blessing!
