American Inquisition

I
've just received the jacket art for my new book "American Inquisition: The Hunt for Japanese American Disloyalty in World War II" (University of North Carolina Press, forthcoming October 2007):

I like it!

That really is a good cover. Do you know the source of the picture?

ELM: Yup: it can be found here.

Congratulations!

Great title, and nice dramatic cover photo selection.

Looks good, although I'm sensing a "No one expects the American Inquisition" skit in the works ...

Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the FDR.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise....

ps the cover might suggest the family is entering the compound, but the attribution suggests they're leaving ... selective disclosure??
