Chapel Hill: The Town That Repeats On You

F
or years, Chapel Hill has called itself "The Southern Part of Heaven." I've never especially liked the slogan; it sounds too stodgy and religious to my ears.

Sally Greene is now blogging about a new proposed slogan for our town: "The Feeling Never Leaves You."

Sally doesn't like it because it's too intangible.

I don't like it because it sounds too much like indigestion. Or PTSD.

Thanks, I needed a laugh. Our motto here is:
"Columbia, Scouth Carolina: Because You Have To Live Somewhere."

I always liked the motto (found mostly on bumper stickers, so maybe not an official motto) of Winnemucca Nevada- "Winnemucca- and proud of it!" Mostly I liked it because it was so hard to think of what it could mean.
