I took the liberty to read the links you supplied to James Fulford's work. I have one word for them: Amen! Self defense is not invidious racism, it is sensible awareness. If other groups living in our midst have openly tribal outlooks (and as a California resident, I can attest they do) then we must adopt something of the same, or sign the death warrant of our society and its traditions.

I completely agree with Brian's comment. I have acquaintances of Latino descent who consider maintaining their culture to be 'preservation' of their heritage. But when it comes to maintaining my culture, because I am caucasian, they call it 'racism'. When I point out the irony in their attitudes, complete silence is the only response. Why is this?

Pray tell, what is "caucasian culture"? Irish? German? British? Lithuanian? French? Swedish? Last time I checked, *those* are cultures, and people who really care about those cultures do preserve them. But I don't know any "caucasian culture".

Of course, Azerbaijan and Armenia are also in the Caucasus, so those countries' culture should probably be preserved as well.

Ah, of course. It's the cultures of the Caucasus that VDARE is interested in preserving and which people like Kim and Brian are defending. I did not know that "Kim" and "Brian" were common names in Central Asia. My ignorance is somewhat lessened. Thank you, Ivan.

Korean Americans and Japanese Americans are both allowed to have "Asian Pride" even though they came from different cultures. Mexicans are allowed to have Hispanic Pride and take pride in all the accomplishments from people of various latin American countries. How is it any less logical to have caucasian or european pride.

In fact it makes much more sense, as America is in some sense a nation of immigrants--European immigrants. Look at JFK's book that y'all open borders folks love so much, he only talks about the achievements of Europeans.

And yes, there really is a common white culture, along with several variants, in the United States. Really? And what are some of its hallmarks? How is it definitively "white" as opposed to, say, "Swedish"? What exactly is being "preserved" by bigots like VDARE?

Except that those specific nationalities you cite actually are specific nationalities with their own cultures, and while they might have "Asian pride" (whatever that means), it takes the form of interest in and preservation of their specific cultures to some extent. I can see "Norwegian Pride", at least to the extent that it includes things like lefke and funny clothes (as opposed to claims of Norwegian superiority). By contrast, "white pride" almost always seems to take the form of purely race-based assertions of superiority and ranting about the brown people. Why is that?

I find it interesting that 'paperweight' takes on the assertion that my pride in my caucasian heritage (Do you ask Latinos to define specifically which form of Latino pride they are partaking - Mexican, Cuban, etc.?)is 'purely a race-based assertion of superiority or merely 'fear of losing a position of privilege'...exemplifying the bias that always seems to accompany any notion of 'white pride'.
