Seeking Help With Firefox

T
he commenter to this post is right: Firefox doesn't seem to be able to reproduce the wingnut quotes.

Strange, that.

You don't see them, because there are none.

IE 7 won't show it either. And looking at the code in both produces the same result: there are no quotes there.

Maybe the speakers were silent on the issue and this is just too subtle? Or it's human error....

You can't read 'em 'cause they aren't there. I checked the HTML for the page (using the "View Source" menu option). The "quotes" each consist of a single blank space.

I am the subtlest man ALIVE.

Oh dear, people! You can't read the quotes because it's sarcastic! There aren't any. You guys should also check out the best blonde joke ever

Apparently it's some sort of subtle commentary. Too subtle for me.

Not so much "subtle", Auguste, as cruel. Forcing people to try to think, when they are unused to thought, can be distinctly unsettling. Even painful.

In the future, please put some socially approved marker of nothingness such as "*crickets*" to avoid causing this discomfort to your readership. Thank you.
