Is That Legal?

I usually hate it when you link to Malkin and I follow it, but this time I at least managed to get a look at the cartoons in question. Pretty edgy stuff, but it's pretty well in line with the whole debate over the "nature of Islam" going on in Europe and elsewhere.

Hey, it's not like anybody is getting killed over films or other artwork about Islam, or for taking a stand against the imposition of sharia law in certain cantonments within European cities...

the post published the letter today.

i also remember a time that UNC Law students protested a cartoon in the daily tar heel which was about the law school. around 1997? can't remember the exact controversy, but it was ridiculous.

sorry for the diversion, but i should add that that howard kurtz at the post wrote about the toles cartoon today here.
