My personal favorite is Tom Lehrer's Christmas Carol.

John Lennon's Happy Xmas (War Is Over). It even works in spite of Yoko's howling during the chorus.

"Christmas in Hollis" by Run-DMC.

Wow, youall are so damn modern. None of these songs have the staying power of the entire soundtrack from it's a Charlie Brown Christmas by the Vince Guarldi Trio or Louie Armstrong's Winter Wonderland. Not to mention the Chipmunk's classic All I Want for Christmas.

I'm with you there, Eric...
In that same feel, I really like The Ramones' Merry Christmas, I Don't Want To Fight.

How about Robert Earl Keen's classic "Merry Christmas from the Family"? I'd put it right up there with the "Father Christmas" which is a great one.

Hello,
a couple of suggestions. The second is not exactly gentle, but it is completely factual, which makes whatever offense could be taken in the eye of the beholder, I believe -
1. Root Boy Slim singing 'Christmas at K-Mart'
2. Mojo Nixon singing happy birthday to Jesus (from memory) -
Sung-
'Happy birthday to you,
You wood working Jew,
Happy birthday, dear Jesus,
You renegade rabbinical rabble rouser from Bethlehem,
Happy birthday to you'
Spoken in gravelly voice-
'Blow out the candles, son.'
Covers a lot of bases in just a couple of lines when you think about it.

I don't have Christmas at K Mart, but you can get the 45rpm single on ebay for 10bucks. I'd love a copy of the mp3 if anyone's sendin' it around!
