Well, For One, He Played Rugby--A Sport In Which Sweaty Men Grab Each Other.

A
commenter at Atrios asks:
When does the swiftboating of Fitzgerald begin? When are we going to hear how he was in a three way with George Soros and Michael Moore on Jane Fonda's yacht while fundraising for Hilary Clinton and John Kerry by getting gay-married in Massachusetts to Ward Churchill and Howard Dean? Five thousand times an hour for the next three months?
An excellent question.

What do you think the line of attack on Fitzgerald will be? Leave a comment.

If the Rove fibs, you must acquit?

Seriously, does anyone think all these clowns won't get pardons? Bush is Duck L'ame on toast already, so why let his cronies go down and take him all the way with him?

All it will take is for him to be a Democrat, or, if he isn't registered as anything in particular (or donated to anyone in particular, ever) they'll claim he has "political ambitions"...

This is pretty good. We have Conason saying the WH is mounting an attack on him, citing a Jacob Weisberg piece in Slate as proof. Duncan Black is getting the troops whipped up along the same lines...

Kinda reminds me of when I was a kid, and if my sisters didn't get what they wanted from me (the last cookie, a particularly desirable toy, whatever) they'd stand there and start screaming "mom, make him stop hitting me." I never hit either one of them, but the tactic was still pretty effective to help them get their way.

So my prediction? If some baptist preacher in Little Rock criticizes Fitzgerald, Conason and E.J. Dionne will cite it as proof of a massive WH plot to discredit Fitzgerald, and call for the criminal prosecution of Scott McLellan.
