Is That Legal?

hmmm.

i'm not a big fan of the solicitation-on-blog. call me old-fashioned; i just think there's something... crass... about it. it may be that i still view blogs as vanity publishing (i know mine is), especially when it's offered freely to anyone with an internet connection.

i might feel differently if there were added content for "paid subscribers" (i do pay to read salon, after all). i do admit that i have learned quite a bit from reading your blog and the discussions in the comments, but would i pay for the privilege of doing so? i need to think about that for awhile...

I am happy to put my money where my mind is. Having the opportunity to donate to a blog I like is a nice option. I trust the blogger who switches to paid hosting to have done so in order to make an even better blog. That better blog will be better for me, a regular reader, and thus I benefit from something I have contributed to.
