Get the Knack of Real Estate

O
oh the home inspection's done, 'spection's done
Can we do the closing at nine, Sharona?
Got it all on the HUD-1, the HUD-1
And the Truth-in-Lending looks fine, Sharona
Such a great idea, paying out on a jumbo loan!
What recording fee? Get my attorney on the phone!
My my my I I woo!
M-m-m-my Sharona
M-m-m-my Sharona

ugh. i don't think i'd want a real estate agent whose website gives the impression she spends more time thinking about what she's going to wear in the morning than figuring out ways to help her clients.

How come real estate agents always put their pictures on stuff? It's on their cards, on billboards, sometimes on signs in front of houses or in the phone book. Do people make decisions about real estate agents based on their looks?

hey, if I had a number one hit written in my honor, I'd milk it for everything it was worth as well.

Jenny; scaling from a quick survey, I conclude you are not a Jewish hetrosexual male or lesbian female. Definitely up there with the Sarah Silvermans.

I'm just impressed that Eric was able to work in "HUD 1" and "Truth in Lending" pretty seamlessly.

Based on the kinds of properties she's representing, I'm not sure her clients need a lot of help finding bargains and what not.

Since buying a house is as much a personal declaratioin as it is a business decision, the theory is that using your photograph and otherwise putting a face on your business helps clients to make a personal connection to the person who will, ultimately, become their sounding board. This is the person who will have to translate their conceptions of themselves and what they want out of life -- things that people often expect a house to represent by proxy -- and listen to all their bullshit. It's something like getting a therapist. And if I don't like the approach Sharona Alperin has taken with her website, that's just fine -- she probably wouldn't like me as a client, either. That's the whole point of a website like that.
