f there is a better moment in 70s' music than the crescendo transition from "Foreplay" to "Long Time" by Boston, I'd like to know what it is.

A similar segue: Where Elton John's "Funeral for a Friend" turns into "Love Lies Bleeding" on the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album--"the roses in the window box have tilted to one side..." Always sounded to me like a limousine merging on the interstate.

How about the moment when the uptempo, "So you think you can stomp me and spit in my eye" part comes in in "Bohemian Rhapsody?" It's close, anyway.

That is a great riff that kicks in when "Long Time" starts, though. If nothing else, Tom Scholz wrote great riffs; "Hitch A Ride" has some great one in that lengthy solo at the end, too.
